ICIF China 2026 Wrap-Up: WTEYA Showcases Three Core Units in Shanghai
Three days, one booth, and a steady stream of engineers. ICIF China 2026 closed at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre with WTEYA's stand (E5D40) having hosted chemical manufacturers, EPC contractors and project owners from home and abroad — alongside three machines brought in for visitors to inspect up close.

Hardware, Not Handouts
We deliberately brought machines rather than leaflets. Visitors could touch the fabrication, check the welds and put their own duty conditions on the table — a far more useful conversation than a brochure can offer.

Unit One: Heat Exchanger for a 5 t/h MVR Evaporator
The centrepiece was the heat exchanger built for a 5 t/h MVR evaporator. In any mechanical vapour recompression loop the exchanger is where recovered latent heat is handed back to the process liquid, so tube geometry, material grade and joint quality set the ceiling on the whole system's efficiency. Interest focused on the tube bundle layout and the fully welded tube-to-tubesheet connections.

Unit Two: Mother Liquor Drying Equipment
Mother liquor is the residue that makes or breaks a zero liquid discharge project — salty, organic-loaded and expensive to dispose of. Our drying unit reduces it to a handleable solid, shrinking the volume that must leave site and letting the crystallisation train close properly. Capacity, energy demand and material selection were the questions most often asked.

Unit Three: Membrane Skid
Placed upstream of the thermal stages, the membrane skid concentrates the feed and strips out suspended and colloidal material before it can reach the evaporator. That protection translates directly into smaller equipment, less fouling and lower running cost, and the compact skid format suits containerised delivery.

The Conversations We Had
Four themes came up again and again: trimming the energy bill of an existing evaporation line, closing the loop on high-chloride streams, choosing materials that survive aggressive liquors, and scaling pilot results to production. Because evaporation, crystallisation, membrane and drying are all engineered in-house at WTEYA, we could work through those questions on a single flowsheet.
